The death toll from the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar has exceeded 1,700, with additional bodies recovered from the rubble. According to a government spokesman, as reported by state-run MRTV, over 3,400 individuals have been injured and more than 300 remain unaccounted for.
